Happy Birthday to Jocko and his litter mates. Jocko has truly been a joy, he’s like a little BIG dog… he has all the puppy mannerisms and mischief but he’s also very mature (he gets that from Mack) he’s obedient, he’s very gentle, he loves bird hunting, he was reluctant to swim but once he got it he does great. He’s a big boy for sure, and still growing – I would guess he’s close to 70 pounds. He has excellent manners and gets along well with other dogs. He’s curious but cautious when someone new (human or pup) comes by and will approach them when we say it’s alright. He’s a very smart boy and learns fast. He loves his daily walks and snuggling up during down time. Jocko’s favorite thing in his entire world is chasing the snow blower – we have gotten more snow that we’ve had in years and it’s quite alright with Jocko. Soon as the snow blower is fired up he’s there ready to pounce at the snow coming out of the shoot. A couple of the photos show his excitement for snow.
Mack and Jocko are true buds and they play very well together. Mack was very patient with Jocko and at times protective of him. They wrestle, they chase, they are buddy’s. Our timing was perfect for getting Jocko as Mack is still young enough to want to play and run with the puppy and when he needs to be left alone Jocko is content to play with his toys or take a nap.
Happy New Year to you and your family, I hope all is well with the kennel and more amazing pups are bringing much joy to new families – we are so fortunate to have such incredible, smart, handsome pups from you. They do not lack for love and attention.
